Commonwealth Hosiery has 88 years of experience
in the hosiery industry. We are located approximately 10 miles south of
High Point in central North Carolina. Our mill has evolved from a
children's and ladies mill selling basic styles to wholesalers and
chains, into a multifaceted, highly innovative pattern resource for
designers, brands, retailers, and department stores.
Our socks are manufactured on Busi 90, 144,
and 160 needle-knitting machines. Busi machines knit hosiery with a
reciprocated heel and toe and have cushion capabilities. We specialize
in trims, sewing a wide variety of laces, embellishments and bows as
well as appliqués.
Trouser socks and tights are knit on Lonati
288, 336, and 400 needle-knitting machines. Trouser socks and tights
knit on a tubular machine do not have a reciprocated heel and toe. We
utilize several needle counts for sheer and opaque products to maximize
the benefits of different yarns.
In addition to domestic manufacturing, we
have secured and developed relationships with overseas mills. A solid
combination of both domestic and overseas production allows Commonwealth
to deliver complete programs that benefit our customer and their guests.
Commonwealth prides itself in having the
best color matching and production in the industry, made possible by
having the most modern computerized equipment and lab facilities.
Our software systems in the plant and office
are customer driven with EDI capability, invoice, and inventory tracking
by barcode. Information is updated daily.
Our management team, office support staff,
supervisors and employees strive daily to be the most knowledgeable,
efficient and dedicated in the industry.
We welcome the opportunity to service your
hosiery needs and to discuss the next step in our partnership with you. |
